Inside the Soft Landing Protocol
This private page is your dedicated space for the resources, tools, and support materials that will guide your Soft Landing process from now through the Expo on May 6–8, and through the steps that follow.
As the protocol progresses, this page will continue to be updated so you can easily access key documents, book support meetings, and stay aligned with each stage of the process.
BOOK A SUPPORT SESSION
Please feel completely free to schedule a 30-minute session with us at any point during the protocol.
These meetings are available for questions, strategic guidance, proposal refinement, pilot pathway design, meeting preparation, or any support you may need as the process moves forward. This space is here to make sure you feel fully supported, well prepared, and aligned at every stage.
1. MARKET INTELLIGENCE PACK
This is the official first step of your Soft Landing Protocol.
The Market Intelligence Pack is designed to help you build a stronger understanding of Ecuador’s tuna ecosystem, including the industry context, key players, priority pain points, technology opportunities, and the approval dynamics that shape buyer decisions locally.
It is meant to help you move into the next stages of the protocol with clearer positioning, stronger context, and a more approvable pathway for proposals, pilot design, and one-to-one conversations.
We recommend revisiting this document throughout the coming weeks as a working resource, not just a one-time read.
2. MATCHMAKING QUESTIONNAIRE FOR CURATED 1-TO-1 MEETINGS
To prepare your curated one-to-one meetings with the right tuna industry companies, we need a few very clear answers from you first. This is not a long form. Please reply in short bullet points. One or two lines per answer is perfect. Your answers help us identify:
where your solution has the strongest real fit
which companies are the best first targets for you
what kind of pilot is most realistic to advance
Please answer the following as clearly and practically as possible:
1. WHAT IS THE HIGHEST-VALUE PROOF GAP YOUR SOLUTION CLOSES?
Not just the general problem — the specific thing a tuna company cannot currently prove, verify, connect, retrieve, or defend well enough today.
2. WHAT IS THE BEST FIRST PILOT SCOPE FOR YOUR SOLUTION IN THIS INDUSTRY?
Please define the smallest high-value starting point. For example: one vessel, one fleet process, one vessel-port handoff, one plant process, one traceability layer, etc.
3. WHAT MUST BE TRUE OPERATIONALLY FOR YOUR SOLUTION TO WORK WELL IN A FIRST PILOT?
Please mention only the real minimums: data access, connectivity, hardware conditions, internal team involvement, system access, process cooperation, or other requirements.
4. WHAT USUALLY CREATES FRICTION, RESISTANCE, OR DELAY IN ADOPTION?
In other words: what tends to make a pilot harder to approve internally — operational burden, IT or security concerns, crew resistance, integration complexity, legal or compliance concerns, unclear ownership, etc.
5. WHO INSIDE THE BUYER ORGANIZATION USUALLY NEEDS TO BELIEVE IN THIS FIRST FOR THE PROCESS TO MOVE FORWARD?
For example: operations, compliance, quality, plant management, fleet management, IT, general management, export/commercial, etc.
6. WHAT ARE THE 2 TO 4 STRONGEST BUSINESS OUTCOMES YOU CAN CREDIBLY IMPROVE IN AN INITIAL PILOT?
Please express them in buyer language, not product language — for example stronger proof, less manual reconstruction, faster retrieval, reduced uncertainty, lower risk, better continuity, better operational visibility, etc.
7. WHAT TYPE OF TUNA COMPANY IS YOUR SOLUTION MOST NATURALLY SUITED FOR RIGHT NOW — AND WHICH TYPE IS LESS IDEAL?
This is very important for matching correctly. Please be specific.
8. IF A FIRST PILOT WORKS, WHAT IS THE MOST LOGICAL SECOND STEP AFTERWARD?
This helps us identify companies for whom your solution is not only interesting, but strategically expandable.
Once we receive your answers, we use them internally to build much more accurate matchmaking and meeting selection.
3. MATERIALS WE NEED FROM YOU FOR EXPO SETUP
To prepare your presence correctly and avoid scattered requests by email, here is everything we need from you in one place. Please send these materials as soon as possible so we can move quickly with production, printing, and exhibitor coordination.
YOUR OFFICIAL LOGO
Please send us your official logo in AI format. If available, you may also send:
EPS
PDF vector
PNG with transparent background

Your booth is 4 M² (2 M X 2 M), and we will produce it for you.
As shown in the booth visual:
the booth includes the wall panels shown in the image
each panel has a total height of 2.34 M
each panel has a width of 0.97 M
the setup also includes TWO COCKTAIL CHAIRS, ONE COCKTAIL TABLE, and a BLUE RUG
What we need from you:
Please send us the exact artwork you would like displayed on your booth walls, and we will print it in HIGH-QUALITY VINYL.
Additional booth needs:
If you would like any extra items, please let us know. For example:
extra chairs

additional furniture
other display needs
We can coordinate these with our providers for you.
Please send booth artwork and any extra requirements as early as possible so we can produce everything correctly and on time.
EXHIBITOR’S MANUAL
Please read the EXHIBITOR’S MANUAL carefully and send us the information requested in the final pages.
This is important so your participation can be coordinated correctly with the exhibition team and venue operations

4. PROMO VIDEO MATERIAL
We are preparing a short promo video for your company ahead of the Expo. The purpose of this video is:
to help the industry become familiar with your brand, core offer, and value before arriving in Manta
to help buyers understand your technology more clearly
to create stronger recognition and better-quality conversations during the Expo and one-to-one meetings
Please send us the following:
1. YOUR CORE VALUE
What is the main value of your company that you want emphasized in the video?
2. THE SPECIFIC PROBLEM YOU SOLVE
What specific pain, challenge, or gap does your solution address, and how can it improve the industry?
3. SECONDARY SUPPORTING POINTS
You may also send any useful numbers, facts, proof points, differentiators, pilot results, market relevance points
FOOTAGE
Please send any visual footage that could help us build your promo video.
We are intentionally keeping this request broad, because different companies have different kinds of useful material.
Some footage may be more general, for example ships, fishing activity, the ocean, plants, ports, industrial operations.
That is absolutely fine. Generic footage can work very well to capture attention and support the voiceover and subtitles, which will deliver the core message.
That said, it would also be excellent if some of the footage is brand-specific. Useful brand-specific footage may include:
BRAND LEGITIMACY
Branded equipment, real operations, facilities, installations, team members, or crews in the field.
THE TECHNOLOGY ITSELF
Hardware, software, interfaces, dashboards, monitoring flow, reporting, or anything that helps viewers quickly understand the solution.
THE HUMAN SIDE
A founder, spokesperson, engineer, or team member on camera, even briefly, so the industry can connect the solution to real people behind the company.
